Position Summary:
Southern Medical Group electrophysiologist seeks nurse practitioner or physician assistant with a dynamic personality to join our private practice in Tallahassee, FL, in an inpatient and outpatient setting.
We are looking for a provider who practices medicine with outstanding patient care and customer service skills. The ideal candidate is a board-certified PA or APRN, with cardiac or electrophysiology experience, delivering high quality, personalized care.
Responsibilities:
Duties include performing patient assessments, ordering diagnostic tests, initiating treatment plans, and prescribing medications as deemed appropriate during follow up office visits. Provides health education emphasizing health promotion, disease prevention, and management of cardiovascular disease. Makes rounds at hospital, dictates history and physicals, provides patient discharge summaries as delegated by supervising physicians.
Requirements:
Exceptional judgment and patient service skills
Ability to work with a progressive cardiology team
Produce timely record keeping including clear, concise notes
Graduation from an accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant program
PA/NP license to practice in Florida
Cardiac experience preferred but not required

Position Summary:
Tallahassee Research Institute, a leading center specializing in cardiovascular research, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Research to lead and expand our clinical research team. The Director will play a pivotal role in overseeing coordinators operations, advancing cardiovascular research initiatives, and fostering a collaborative research environment. This position is ideal for an accomplished nursing professional with a background in cardiovascular care, significant research interest, and proven leadership experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the nursing staff involved in cardiovascular research, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and research integrity.
Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical trials and research protocols, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
Provide strategic direction for cardiovascular research initiatives, identifying new research opportunities and enhancing the institute’s research portfolio.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and research protocols, maintaining accurate documentation and data integrity.
Mentor and support nursing staff, promoting continuous learning and professional development within the team.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, research sponsors, and community stakeholders to advance the institute’s mission.
Collaborate with the executive team to set strategic goals, manage budgets, and allocate resources effectively for optimal research outcomes.
Pursue formal education regarding the field of clinical research and the management of a research institute.
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse (RN) with an active Florida license; advanced degree (MSN, PhD, or equivalent) in nursing or healthcare is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in cardiovascular care, with a strong understanding of cardiovascular conditions, treatments, and patient management.
Demonstrated experience in a leadership role, with the ability to lead teams effectively and foster a collaborative work environment.
Prior experience in clinical research, ideally in a cardiovascular research setting would be preferred.
Strong knowledge of clinical research protocols, regulatory standards, and ethical guidelines or the commitment to pursue further education in the field.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Passion for research and innovation in cardiovascular healthcare.
